I think I have always known that you need to be timely and responsive to clients and anyone for that matter! Lately it just seems that there is a lack of a very basic and fundamental action- responsiveness.
I am so surprised by the need to follow up with people, organizations, sales people, and so on! Wow! Isn’
t this alarming?
I mean – have we become so lazy we just don’t even bother to answer people’s emails or calls? Is business so good we do not need to reply to people?
This seems to almost have become the norm- and seems to run rampant – I have begun to think half my day is spent following up on a vendor for a repair, a law firm for a document they want from me, an engineer for something to do with land, – these are all sales transactions. I am PAYING for a service and have to follow up. I scratch my head and think- if I ran any of these firms- I would be worried we are putting ourselves out of business eventually!
Today, let’s make a new commitment – let’s follow up on all opportunities!!
