What are you doing to stand out from your colleagues?

What are you doing to stand out from your colleagues?

In our teachings we often talk about Passion and your Personal Brand Promise. Today, I’d like to share a few tips of how you can bring both of these concepts to life in your everyday walk and talk.

Be More Than Your Job Description

To stand apart in today’s marketplace you have to be more, do more and act more. If you do just what is required of you, you are now part of the masses, and of course you do not want to simply blend in – you want to stand out. Every Personal Brand is different and it is up to you to make yours shine.

The moment you think, "Perhaps I deserve more," then you know you may be settling for less.

Have a Self-Employed Mentality

Think of your boss as a customer and market yourself to him/her. Consider yourself a consultant; a position that wields a highly respected influence onto those he/she serves. You’ll see – these efforts will lead to a greater outcome for you, both personally and professionally.

Don’t Settle for a Job You are not Passionate About

You have worked hard on your education and building your Brand. So why would you settle for something that does not ignite your passion? When you settle, no one wins. Not you or your employer. If you focus on your passion, success will definitely follow.

The bottom line? Everyone is a sales person. You are constantly selling whether you know it or not. So don’t be shy. Sell the best product you have…YOU!
